Day 11

Romans 4:18-21 - Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Against all hope!  What a statement!

We've all had days or seasons when that statement seems so true in our lives.  No matter how many promises from GOD we've heard or how much encouragement we receive, the circumstances look beyond changing.  It's in those difficult, dark, bleak times that more than ever we have to live by faith, not just walk, and not by sight.

What Jesus Christ did for us (whether you believe it or not does not negate what HE did, let me make that clear right now!) was not for naught, it was not a waste of time, it was not for nothing.  HE made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could have life and that more abundantly.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy, and to do that one of his most effective weapons is blocking or clouding our vision to what GOD promised.  If the enemy can convince us to give in to what we see, instead of what we believe, he's already won half the battle.  We can't, I repeat, WE CANNOT, walk by sight, we MUST walk by FAITH.  Bleak circumstances are only temporary.  Delayed promise fulfillment is just that, delayed.  If GOD said it, it's settled, period.

We've got to have that Abraham kind of faith where even though the circumstances look absolutely impossible, we have to know, without a shadow of a doubt that what GOD said will come to pass.

That's it, no questions!

I'm beginning to believe more and more each day that no matter what it looks like, I can do this.  I can not only travel this road, but I can travel it victoriously, because GOD says I can.  Obstacles and trials may come, but giving up is not an option.  Backing off is not an option.  There is no "reverse gear" in this vehicle, I can only move forward.

So that 's what I'm going to do!

11 days down, 354 to go!
